Sporthorse Legacy is a stallion agency that is owned and operated by two dedicated equine professionals Richard Malmgren and Nicole Hauseman. Our passion for breeding and building relationships in the breeding community is what drives our business. Richard and Nicole are both pervious Breeding Managers at Hassler Dressage where they learned from top professionals Scott and Susanne Hassler. It is with this knowledge and passion that Sporthorse Legacy represents superior stallions to North American breeders.

OUR TEAM

Richard B. MalmgrenMarketing Manager

Richard is a native of Sweden, came to the US in 1996 as a working student for one year. Then after starting University in Sweden 1998, he transferred to University of Delaware in 1999 and got his Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing, graduating in 2003. While studying he was working full time at Hilltop Farm, Inc and after graduating earned the job as Sales Manager at Hilltop Farm, Inc. 2007 Richard joined the team at Hassler Dressage, LLC and was part of building up the business at Riveredge, holding a lot of different jobs and positions. 2013 Richard started his own business and is doing a lot of Long Lining and marketing of products. Richard has a long background with horses from his native Sweden and all the years at Hilltop Farm & Hassler Dressage. In 2011 he married Jessica Jo Tate an International Grand Prix Dressage rider. They split the year between Middletown, Delaware and Wellington, Florida.

Nicole HausemanBreeding Manager

Nicole attended Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA where she received her Bachelors Degree in Equine Studies with a focus in Equine Business. In 2012 Nicole joined Hassler Dressage on the barn floor helping with the daily operations. The fall of 2012 brought new opportunities for Nicole at Hassler Dressage when she was offered the Assistant Breeding Manager position and then the Breeding Manager position the following year. Nicole truly enjoys working with the breeders to build lasting relationships and helping to support their breeding goals. In Nicole’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, their beautiful daughter, new baby boy and working with her young horse.
